The CHEMCON Check Valve is installed in a system to prevent the reversal of flow. It is suitable for almost all media and particularly useful in high temperature applications. There are two types in the range, the swing check valve and a lift (piston) valve. The swing check is used where an unobstructed flow and low pressure drops are needed. As with Gate and Globe valves, swing Check valves are suitable for almost all media and particularly useful in high temperature applications.
The lift check valves has four 90° turns
in its flow path, creating high flow resistance and a pressure drop. Lift
check valves are not used where the fluid contains suspended solids.
